Should You Buy a Toner?

Hello, Beauties! Today I decided to cover this topic about toners! I've been asked a lot by people who are very unfamiliar with skincare and also wondered why they should even consider getting a toner. This post is meant for new comers in the skincare world and well, people who just want to know a bit more about toners!

Now, toners don't get a lot of love, simply because not a lot of people know what to do with them and also find them completely unnecessary. But, toners are very helpful once added into your skincare routine. I know most readers reading this probably don't like having a multi-step skincare routine like the typical K-beauty regime(Oil Cleanser, Facial Cleanser, Toner, SerumEssence, Cream etc.), but trust me! A Toner could make a huge difference on your skin!

First things first!

WHAT IS A TONER?
A toner is an extra skincare step added into your routine, typically recommended by your local dermatologist to help with any kind of skin concern you may have. There are multiple toners out in the market, but choosing the best one for your skin type can be a blessing!

WHAT DO TONERS DO?:
-They can be used as a gentle exfoliant
-Helps restore your natural Ph-levels after cleansing your skin
-Great way for removing left over makeup your facial cleanser didn't catch!
-Shrinks pores
-Refreshes your skin

WHAT KIND OF TONERS ARE OUT THERE?:
There's literally toners for all skin types! The options are quite endless, but it can be a little overwhelming.
There's toners for acne prone skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, dry skin etc. There's also toners that are very moisturizing and can be very useful for dry skin types or whenever the cold, dry winter air invades your skins personal space and sucks up all of it's moisture!

MY TOP 2 TONERS:

INNISFREE MINIMUM TONER FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
This little guy is my all time favorite toner EVER! Usually when I look for sensitive skincare products, it feels like false advertisement because some usually have a lot of harsh chemicals in it, such as Fragrances. But, Innisfree surprised me with this toner! Not only is it cute, the product is also in a sprits bottle, encouraging users to pat their faces instead of using a cotton pad and rubbing it across their faces. It helps reduce redness and irritation caused by over stimulation.
I bought this product from TesterKorea.com for about... $4-$5? It's no longer listed from the last time I checked, but you can buy this little guy from Amazon.com for $10.25!

PAPA RECIPE TROUBLE AC TONER
This toner was a random buy, but it drastically made it's way into my skincare routine. I bought this toner after I ran out of my Innisfree toner(Took about 2 and a half months), so I was in desperate need for a new toner! I was looking for a toner that wouldn't break out my sensitive skin, but also help with my filled pores on my nose and chin area. It is a acne fighting toner and it works amazingly!
One main ingredient that almost completely turned me away from this toner is that it contains alcohol. I typically stay away from products with alcohol in them because, alcohol can be VERY drying and it also irritates my skin after I cleanse my face. But, again, I was desperate so I just went ahead and bought it! And so far, after 2 months of use, I still have a lot left and it's not drying at all!
I got this product from Memebox.com for $10(It was on sale I believe.) You can also buy this toner from Amazon.com for $14!

I hope this post was well informed and simple enough for you! I was aiming for a quick and short post, because usually when I do further research I blab about all I found out without summarizing it!
